##Montée >Emprunter la piste forestière en rive gauche du torrent du Merlet jusqu'aux chalets de l'Echaut. De là, soit par la piste forestière, soit par une trace directe en rive gauche, surmonter le verrou glaciaire des Granges. >C'est ensuite relativement plat et, il faut parcourir une bonne distance pour arriver au pied du col du Merlet. Il suffit alors d'amorcer un grand virage vers la droite, et de remonter d'agréables pentes S jusqu'au col de la Lavoire. >###Variante de départ >Au printemps, lorsque la chaleur a accompli son œuvre, possibilité de monter par la route forestière du Bois du Nant, puis de traverser sur les Perrières, en voiture. Le départ remonte ainsi à 1350 m et le chemin (orienté NE) au-dessus de l'Echaut gardant longtemps la neige, le portage est limité. >##Descente >Par le même itinéraire.
