Des Boussardes, remonter le vallon du Fontenil, d'abord dans une forêt clairsemée jusque vers 2200 m puis un faux plat.>Remonter ensuite la croupe située à gauche sous les barres rocheuses du Lac de Combeynot (prendre la combe à droite de ce mamelon s'il est trop faiblement enneigé - combe souvent utilisée à la descente), puis obliquer au SW.>Vers 2600 m quand la pente s'adoucit à nouveau, quitter le tracé des Jumelles S et partir plein N puis NW pour rejoindre le pied de la face menant au col du Fontenil. La courte pente sommitale est raide (100 m, orientation NE).>## Descente>Idem montée.
