Du parking, suivre la route qui serpente dans les bois. À la vue du chalet de l'Aulp de fier, prendre sur la droite (panneau) une gorge étroite, la quitter par la gauche après 150 m environ. Une pente raide, puis une traversée à plat entre deux barres rocheuses permettent d'accéder au lac du Charvin. De là, prendre à gauche une grande pente qui mène au sommet. >##Descente >À mi-chemin de la pente finale prendre à droite un petit col qui permet une descente plein N => attention à ne pas descendre trop bas : barres rocheuses. Il faut tirer à gauche pour retrouver la gorge (bien repérer à la montée).
