Arrivati alla dogana svizzera montare ad W per facili pendii segundo il filo della cresta sul lato S, per puntare alla quota 2405m. Continuare sul lato S della cresta e con ampio traverso sotto la vetta del Pizzo Tamborello (sopra a destra), portarsi poco oltre per affrontare il pendio finale che porta al colletto ad W della cima. >Da li con facili roccette si arriva all'affilata vetta.>Discesa per il medesimo itinerario, oppure puntare inizialmente verso S-E e poi ad E, per andare a prendere il classico itinerario di salita per il Tambò, che sfocia in un ripido canale (35°) proprio sopra la dogana italiana. >Da qui seguire nuovamente la strada per rientrare a Montespluga.
