From the parking at the Col de la Geulaz (1900m) at the top of the Emosson dam road, descend on foot and cross the dam (road) to the start of the path up the Veudale valley. Follow this, SW, continuing up where it narrows after which you can choose to go left or preferably right if there is an avalanche risk. Near the col de la Terrasse, go S towards the obvious pylon which is next to the summit of the Point de la Terrasse. >**Descent** >By the same route.

Depuis le haut du village de Finhaut, suivre la route jusqu'au col de la Gueulaz (1965 m, barrage d'Émosson, terminus de la route) en passant par la Léchère (1441 m). Si les conditions le permettent, possibilité de couper quelques virages par la forêt. Contourner le restaurant du barrage par le S (petite descente), puis traverser le barrage par son couronnement (admirer au passage la belle voie qui monte quasi en surplomb depuis le fond de la vallée). Après une petite traversée à flanc de versant, délicate par neige dure, rentrer dans le vallon de la Veudale juste avant la Tête du Largey, et suivre ce vallon très rectiligne direction WSW sur environ 3 km. Ce vallon devient carrément un goulet au niveau de la Gorge de la Veudale. Après le goulet, prendre à gauche ou à tout droit (préférable en cas de danger d'avalanche). Suivre direction plein S pour arriver aux environs du col de la Terrasse, en direction du pylône bien visible qui se trouve juste à côté du sommet de la pointe de la Terrasse.>##Descente>Par le même itinéraire, ou par bonnes conditions plein E depuis l'aiguille du Charmoz (pente: 35-40°). En dessous du barrage d'Emossson, descendre dans la jolie combe assez pentue de la Gueulaz. Rejoindre l'itinéraire de montée en empruntant un tunnel.
