Rejoindre l'Aup Couti en passant soit par le refuge des Tinderets, soit par les chalets de Lens. Voir l'itinéraire du [[routes/110700/fr/versant-n-de-l-aup-couti|versant N de l'Aup Couti]]. Atteindre le sommet par l'arête W. >##Descente >Revenir à l'Aup Couti et descendre dans le versant NW (vallon d'Ardens). Plusieurs départs sont possibles sur l'arête. Si on part du plus haut sur l'arête, c'est un peu plus raide et étroit. Plus bas c'est plus large et facile. Quel que soit le départ on débouche dans la grande pente sous la Pointe de la Chavache qu'on descend jusque dans le vallon d'Ardens. Suivre alors la route jusqu'au lac des Plagnes.
