Départ de la station de Pralognan d’où l'on rentre dans le val Chavière en empruntant une piste de ski de fond et de marche jusqu'au hameau des Prioux (1700 m). De là, on s'engage à gauche en suivant à peu près le sentier d'été du refuge de la Valette. À un replat (1936 m) on remonte une pente de neige orientée NNW jusqu'au sommet. La pente passe au début de 26° à 22° sur une bonne partie, puis elle se redresse à environ 30° sous le sommet.>## Descente>Par l'autre côté, c'est-à-dire dans le vallon qui se trouve juste en dessous des glaciers de la Vanoise. On fait une boucle qui se referme au point coté 1936 m, cité plus haut.
