Source directions

Park the car at the barrier on the road from Reposoir up to the Col de Colombiere.>**Ascent**>Either go up the road to the col or, if there is not enough snow, descend into the valley on the left and follow this up to the Col de Colombiere. From the col, go more or less horizontally towards the Auferrand chalets. One can either keep low to enter a cwm descending from the Auferrand (1806m) and the Tête (1981m)or gain the cwm higher up by making a diaganol traverse, (less comfortable if icy.) Go up the cwm (faces NE), to where it meets a ridge descending from the summit (circa 1880m) and then traverse the N facing slope to reach the west ridge and so up this to the summit.>**Descent**>Same as the ascent, keeping high to reach the Col de Colombiere in order to avoid putting the skins back on. >An alternative is to descend the W ridge until it is possible to go N into a NW facing cwm.

Source safety information

S4 beneath the summit, if not S3. Quite a lot of alder trees in the NW cwm.

Source directions
