Des Fontanettes (ou de Pralognan en hiver), remonter les pistes si elles sont enneigées, ou longer le téléski par le GR, jusqu'à la cabane des Barmettes (2010 m). >Traverser le torrent sur le petit pont et continuer le vallon jusqu'au Lac des Vaches. >Quitter l'itinéraire du Col de la Vanoise, et monter NE pour franchir la moraine frontale du Glacier de la Grande Casse. Suivre le glacier en son centre jusqu'au col. >En partant du Refuge du Col de la Vanoise : descendre en traversée en rive gauche du Lac Long jusqu'à son extrémité N. Surmonter la moraine pour accéder au glacier. >## Descente >Par le même itinéraire.
